Overview
Paolo Scheggi is one of the protagonists of the Italian neo-avant-garde of the 1960s. Characteristic of his art is the spatial and monochrome composition. For example, his "Intersuperfici" consist of three overlapping canvases, which are traversed by different circular or elliptical openings. Together with Agostino Bonalumi, Enrico Castellani, Dadamaino Pierro Manzoni and Turi Simeti, Scheggi is one of the pioneers of "Pittura Oggetto", object painting and exhibited  around the group Azimuth/Azimut, who also exchanged with the German Group Zero.
